Recently the Crypt has been renovated (2002-2003) by the Diputacion of Barcelona . This renovation launched a manifesto from Catalan artists and intellectuals ( Tapiès, Lahuerta, Frederic Amat...) They ask the restitution of the Crypt as it was before the works. Article of La Vanguardia 12/12/2002.
